Some Tips On What to wear in Galicia
In Spain, they dress differently then the in the USA. Spanish style is as diverse as the many regions and dialects that make it up. If you want to look like a local, focus on what the locals wear in the places you’ll be visiting. Although its warm in the summers in Galicia, make sure to bring warm clothes and an strong umbrella if you’re visiting in the fall-winter months.
FIRST, things not to wear:
- hiking clothes
- Athleisure
- cowboy anything!

- a few longer flowy skirts
- nice warm socks
- trusty pair of booties
For boys:

- graphic-Ts
- a few pairs of jeans (don’t be afraid to make them a bit tighter than usual)

A few other things to keep in mind are: always carry a strong umbrella!! The winds and rain are crazy in Galicia. I broke about 5 umbrellas while living there during the winter months. Last thing I will add is all the small touches make a difference. Things like jewelry, watches, and bags can level up an outfit. So be creative and have fun dressing a little different from usual!
